NAWIC Boston Visits Leland House

WALTHAM — On May 14th, Dellbrook|JKS and 2Life Communities welcomed NAWIC Boston for an exclusive tour of Leland House, a 3-story passive house structure containing 68 residential units for seniors.

The collaborative event offered the opportunity to understand the use of an active sprinkler system in wood-frame construction. NAWIC Boston board members and Dellbrook|JKS team members Devin Cudmore, Field Safety & Risk Manager, and Lorrayne Romeiro, Assistant Project Manager, led the site-walk, discussing the importance, installation, and unique aspects of the sprinkler system. The pair were joined by 2Life's Ithzel Polanco-Cabadas, Real Estate Project Manager, and Rosie Schiavone, Facilities Administrator, to share insights about the structure's purpose and adaptable design.
