NorthStar Early Learning Academy Groundbreaking

NEW BEDFORD — On Tuesday December 7th, New England Construction Management Firm, Dellbrook|JKS, broke ground on the NorthStar Early Learning Academy in New Bedford, alongside the NorthStar team and Davis Square Architects. The 19,000 square foot, two-story state-of-the-art facility, will double NorthStar's current full-time enrollment capacity of serving 134 children and their families.

Located on the corner of Rivet and Hyacinth Street, the future NorthStar Early Learning Academy includes ten classrooms, gross motor skills space, a partial basement, offices and conference rooms for operational purposes. The project also features a conjoining playground for preschoolers and toddlers and surface-level parking for the convenience of families.

The Early Learning Academy is not only focused on expanding enrollment capabilities but also on serving as a regional hub for educational innovation. NorthStar intends to engage and support its community with access to additional areas in its facility like exploratory play-spaces, community rooms, and a commercial kitchen.
