Demolition of 3 existing buildings made way for the construction of a new six-story, 256,000 SF, wood framed apartment building with 172 units. Landing 53 was built over post tension concrete podium and included 12,000 SF of shell retail space. The project was built on a tight site that required significant ledge removal, rammed aggregate piers, and support of excavation and coordination with MBTA. It features two levels of underground parking for 198 parking spaces and additional surface parking was installed in the back of the building for three core and shell retail spaces. Numerous amenities for the residents were constructed including a roof deck, pool, terraces and fitness center.
