On the corner of Rivet and Hyacinth Street in New Bedford, Dellbrook|JKS is constructing a state-of-the-art early childhood education facility for NorthStar Learning Centers. Totaling 19,000 SF and standing 2-stories tall, the NorthStar Early Learning Academy will contain ten classrooms, a community room, gross motor skills space, a partial basement, and as well as offices and conference rooms for operations. Its durable exterior will feature Hunter Panel Sheathing, Hardie/Cembrit Fiber Cement Siding, and Universal Series 600 AL windows, upgraded to meet hurricane impact requirements. Throughout the building, new finishes and MEPFP systems will ensure that the structure is inviting and prepared to support busy days at the center. The project also includes the creation of a conjoining playground for preschoolers and toddlers, surface level parking, and removal of all unsuitable soil, prior to construction.
