The Neponset is a five story, 45,000 SF multifamily building with 28 units of wood framed construction in a mid-rise, steel podium building. It was built on a very tight parcel of land adjacent to the South East Expressway on Quincy Shore Drive. To build the new luxury condominiums, our team demolished a former mechanics garage and parking lot on site and erected two levels of steel podium for parking overlain by four wood-framed levels of residential units and amenity spaces. The complex location at the intersection of two major thoroughfares in North Quincy required that we work with both Mass DOT and the FAA in addressing site logistics and access throughout construction. Amenity spaces constructed for The Neponset feature a rooftop deck and terrace lounge with grilling stations. a double height lobby, fitness center and bike room for building residents.
