The Newbury of Brookline
On the former grounds of Newbury College, Dellbrook|JKS constructed The Newbury of Brookline, a luxury senior living community. The development brings 159 apartments to Fisher Hill, with a mix of Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living units. Two buildings comprise the high-end campus. The largest structure, a six-story, 200k sqft building, is made of structural steel and the Girder-Slab system’s D-beams (hollow core plank on steel, topped by concrete) with metal stud interior framing. This expansive new building is complimented by the adaptive reuse of a historic 22k sqft counterpart, the Mitton House.
Originally built in 1895, the meticulous renovation of the Mitton House, once a private residential mansion, allows it to hold six of the development’s apartments and general common areas that boast lavish antique charm. The Newbury features a wide range of elevated amenities, including the Skyline Bar with stunning views of Boston, full-service dining areas, multiple activity rooms, a spacious courtyard, indoor pool, salon & spa, a library, pet wash station, indoor valet parking and more.
