The Veranda House project was an official rebuild of the beloved boutique hotel on 3 Step Lane in downtown Nantucket, which was tragically lost to a fire in 2022. Like its historic 1860's predecessor, the newly constructed building includes four stories, classic wrap-around porches, a total of 19 guest rooms, and a traditional shingled exterior.

The structure, spanning 8,810 SF of conventional wood and concrete framed construction, is nearly identical to the original, but with updates to meet modern codes and increase accessibility. Construction included demolition, associated structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection work, as well as site improvements. The project includes 3 staff units, lounge/dining room, kitchen, lobby, laundry and mechanical rooms.
