Vineyard Wind

Operations & Maintenance Facility

The two-story steel structure that houses Vineyard Wind’s Operations and Maintenance facility totals 15,000 SF and features an 18” slab-on-deck atop a concrete podium. Supported by 120’ steel piles due to harsh winters and sandy island soil, the building is designed to withstand any seasonal conditions on the Vineyard. The first level includes a large warehouse, locker room, canteen, and shop spaces. On the second floor, the building features mezzanine offices, meeting spaces, and communal workstations. Its envelope consists of a standing seam metal roof, Hardie siding with cedar accents, PVC trim, and Anderson windows. Parking, located under the facility’s podium, provides additional space, complemented by a long driveway leading to a rear loading dock.
