Built on a challenging site in Quincy Center, West of Chestnut is wood framed construction of two buildings, The Hancock and The Chestnut Buildings, within the same city block. With significant site work and underpinning required, together the project features 169 residential units and 15,000 SF of new retail space. The Hancock is a structural steel podium with 5 residential stories. The Hancock’s first floor consists of retail spaces, as well as a fitness studio and resident amenities. The Chestnut building has 2 levels of steel podium, 1 at the underground for a parking garage, and another on grade for retail space. Construction also included a bar, theatre room, retail offices, and a 2 story main entrance lobby, dog park, and an outdoor kitchen.
