Eastward Ho Country Club Maintenance Facility
The new Eastward Ho! maintenance facility building is approximately 16,750 square feet, built on an arm-like peninsula located off the shores of Chatham, MA. This facility houses 25-30 member maintenance crew for 6 months of the year and about 12 guys in the off season. They have a full basement that consists of the electrical, mechanical rooms and the area where they store materials and charge their personal work carts. The main level is a mix of offices for the superintendant and his assistants, locker room for all the guys, irrigation storage for all parts, kitchen, carpenter shop and bathrooms. Once you walk out of the “inside” area, you step out into the mechanic shop where most of the tune ups for all the equipment take place. The mechanic has an office, work area and storage for all his parts, oils, and tools necessary to keep their maintenance staff completely operational. They have 3 cold storage bays that house the equipment, stored materials and the occasional bird. Next to their storage bays is the chemical storage and mixing areas that allow for safe access and processing of the chemicals. These areas and the mechanic shop were finished with an epoxy floor to withstand any and all liquids that may spill, making it much easier to clean and keep clean. Next to the mixing area is the wash bay and all the equipment to keep the carts looking like new. Lastly, they added additional parking to help withstand the large crowds they receive in the summer time for golf, parties, weddings and seasonal events.
