This project consisted of a new three-story middle school building between the Kraft Field House and attached to the existing Hewitt Building connected by a covered walkway. Exterior facade consists of a combination of metal panels, ground face masonry, terracotta panels, and curtainwall glazing. The 30,000 sf structure was constructed with a deck and beam style construction, with interior light gauge metal framing.
A large portion of the exterior consists of curtain wall style windows including both stairwells and at all classrooms. The interior finishes consisted of exposed MDF panels that surround the reading and learning center. Classrooms were finished with carpet tile flooring, aluminum doors and frames, white boards and projectors.
