St. Luke’s Hospital Family Center
The Family Centered Unit (Maternity) Renovation at St. Luke’s Hospital was a 46,000 square foot, 5 phase project. Phase 1 was existing room modifications to enable the relocation of operations for future phases. Phase 2 was the conversion of double patient rooms to single post-partum rooms along with all attendant support services and MEP/FP infrastructure upgrades. Phase 3 was the conversion of post-partum rooms to labor and delivery rooms along with the construction of two C-Section rooms and all attendant support services and MEP/FP upgrades. Phase 4 was the conversion of labor and delivery rooms to a Med / Surgical unit and all attendant support services and MEP/FP upgrades. Phase 5 was the conversion of Phase 1 space to Maternity overflow space.
This project required major coordination among multiple hospital departments; most notably the active ICU/CCU and PACU units located directly below the construction area.
