Sturdy Memorial Hospital 2nd Floor Med-Surg Renovation
Dellbrook | JK Scanlan began construction in June 2016, for the renovation of the existing core and shell space on the second floor at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, in Attleboro, MA. Dellbrook | JKS will create a 12,000 square foot medical/surgical recovery unit. The new space will feature 20 patient beds, airborne isolation and antirooms, as well as adjunct facilities, such as a sterile storage area, 2 nurse stations and associated support spaces.
This new suite will also include all new plumbing systems, the installation of a sprinkler system, new medical gas and vacuum systems. HVAC systems will include fan-coil units, new exhaust systems for restrooms and other miscellaneous spaces, and the installation of DDC components for room temperature control. All new lighting, exit signage and emergency lighting will be installed including fire alarm components, telephone and data. Nurses will have a two new stations and a new call system which will be integrated with the existing systems throughout the hospital. The project is anticipated to be complete in October, 2016.
