Sturdy Memorial Hospital 2nd Floor Med-Surg Renovation
Dellbrook | JKS began construction in June 2016, for the renovation of the existing core and shell space on the second floor at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, in Attleboro, MA where our team created a 12,000 square foot medical/surgical recovery unit. The new space features 20 patient beds, airborne isolation and antirooms, as well as adjunct facilities, including a sterile storage area, 2 nurse stations and associated support spaces.
This new suite also received all new plumbing systems, the installation of a sprinkler system, new medical gas and vacuum systems. HVAC systems included fan-coil units, new exhaust systems for restrooms and other miscellaneous spaces, and the installation of DDC components for room temperature control. All new lighting, exit signage and emergency lighting were installed including fire alarm components, telephone and data. Nurses received two new stations and a new call system that was integrated with the existing systems throughout the hospital. The project was completed in October, 2016.
