Oxford School Residences
Dellbrook|JKS is renovating the existing Oxford School, a two-story, 16,923 SF brick structure in Fairhaven to create 13 new residential units.
Demolition work includes selected removal of existing floor, wall and ceiling systems as well as selected finishes. Existing electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems will also be removed, replaced, and reconfigured to the existing spaces.
Renovations consist of an addition and/or reinforcement of structural elements to meet current codes, replacement of existing windows, select exterior doors and roofing systems, complete restoration of the existing brick facade, and new fenestration treatments consistent with historic preservation standards.
A new 37,765 SF, four-story, 39 residential unit, wood frame structure with an elevator will also be constructed. The exterior facade consists of fiber cement board siding materials, PVC trim, and new fiberglass windows with complete mechanical, electrical and FA systems.
Site work includes the demolition of 28,000 SF of existing structure, building excavations, new utilities, rough grading and drainage systems for new parking areas, site lighting, and full depth paving at new drives and parking areas. New walkways, retaining walls, and fencing, are among other site improvements to the 55,239 SF space.
