Brown Family House – 2Life Communities 370 Harvard Street
New, 62,118 SF six-story multi-family/senior housing building with 62 units. The first level is concrete slab on grade and second level is a steel/concrete podium for wood framed construction to the sixth level. Level 1 has a semi-enclosed parking area that encompasses half of the building footprint. Building massing includes step backs at level 2 and 6. Three sides of the building are built tight to lot line, and the fourth side include a buffer courtyard between itself and Jewish Temple next door.
Foundation work included lateral earth support at the east property line next to a private condo driveway. The building facade is a mix of metal panels, highly dimensioned clapboard siding, custom FC siding panels, storefronts, and better fiberglass window units.
Congregation Kehillath Israel (KI) will share space within the campus with the affordable rental apartments for seniors 62 and building amenities constructed include resident common spaces with 1,816 SF ground floor retail / café and parking for 14 cars. The building meets Enterprise Green Communities criteria.
