Residences at Lawrence Hill Groundbreaking

WELLFLEET — On the morning of October 30th, Dellbrook|JKS celebrated the groundbreaking of The Residences at Lawrence Hill, a new 46-unit affordable housing community on Lawrence Road. The event was held in collaboration with project partners including Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), the Community Development Partnership (CDP), Studio G Architects, the Woodox Group, and state and local officials.

With tree removal and site preparation nearly complete, Dellbrook|JKS will soon begin construction on an Upper Village, featuring 22 townhouses and 2 flats spread across seven buildings, and the Lower Village, a three-story structure containing 24 one- and two-bedroom apartments, complete with decks and patios. The 66,700 square-foot, wood-framed development will also offer a community building, BBQ area, community gardens, laundry facilities, and 69 parking spaces.

Construction of The Residences at Lawrence Hill prioritizes sustainability, pursuing Passive House Certification, while making use of a previously developed, compact site. Further contributing to the project's environmental considerations, photovoltaic arrays will be mounted on the south- and west-facing roofs, and the landscaping will feature native plant species.

The Residences at Lawrence Hill will blend mid-century modern aesthetics with classic Cape Cod design, creating a community that reflects Wellfleet’s unique character. Dellbrook|JKS anticipates the project’s completion by winter 2026.
